Hello,

My name is Janusz, I'm from Poland.
My native language is not English. I apologize for any errors.
I have a card i-TEC PCI-Express 4x USB 3.0 with VIA IC.
Together with the card I received a CD with drivers (USB3-PCE22U3).
Once inserted into the motherboard (GA P35-DS3L) drivers have uploaded and everything moved.
But next day (after restart of Win 7 64b) stopped working.
Uninstalling and reinstalling - error something like "not found supported device."
As if this card was not seen at the hardware level.
I downloaded also drivers from the manufacturer.
In the Device Manager device does not exist - even with an exclamation mark.
Once or twice he appeared as an unknown device.
It does not show it also on the loading screen (before system) in PCI Listing.
Once again, I took the card and put it into another PCI-E x1.
Drivers were uploaded and transfers started.
But after a while again it died.
Has anyone any idea what can I do?
I have reported to provider and got another card.
It behaved identically.
It appears in the "Unknown Device Identifier" program.
I suspect that I'm doing something wrong, but what?
Thank you in advance for your ideas and help.

With the card attached there are no yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager? You may want to try setting your BIOS settings back to default and see if that solves the problem.

After setting the BIOS to default, nothing has changed

You may want to look at this site. It has the latest drivers and firmware for the VIA chipset. You would need to pull the card to see which VIA chipset the card uses. The page has both firmware and drivers but if Device Manager does not find your card I am not sure what you can do.

Make sure you read all the release notes on the page.

If I remember on this card is VL 800 IC.

But in my opinion BIOS does not see this card. Therefore, attempts to install drivers end up telling: "The installation wizard is not found in the system of supported hardware"

I too have got problems with my Inateck 4 port USB3.0 PCI-e card (Renesas chip on board). CD and drivers from manufacturers site didn't work at all. The installation process was never completed with success. Then I've found another website to download the latest Renesas drivers and they worked fine.

My USB3.0 PCI-e card is recognized as Renesas Electronics USB3.0 Host Controller and USB3.0 Root Hub in device manager. However the card isn't shown up in post screen before the OS loads.

I guess you have problems with drivers. Try to find another source to download drivers again.

Hello,

to "devilus"

I would like to ask you if the BIOS shows the device in Listing during loading system - at the beginning before the system (PCI listing), where are PCI devices with IRQ numbers

I think it's not there. If I'm not wrong, this listing is for onboard devices only.

Did you try drivers from there, as JohnC_21 adviced you?:

Hi, Devilus,

I see, you have card with Renesas (NEC) chipset.

In this page : http://www.i-tec.cz/?t=3&v=230 you can see may product.

Yes, I've tried those drivers. I know that page. I'm still attacking this problem for several months.

As I have previously written that the card worked for one or two days

Then, there is probably another problem either with motherboard or with the PCI card itself.

It seems the card has a VL805-q6 chip and not VL800 (VEN_1106&DEV_3483):

Is your USB 3 controller listed under Universal Serial Bus Controllers in Device Manager. Your image seems to suggest there is no driver for the VIA chipset.

I would try downloading the driver at the via website.   http://www.via-labs.com/driver.php

VIA_XHCI_Driver_V4.90A_AP.zip
WHQL Driver for VL800/801 & 805/806 USB 3.0 Host Controller. Compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7/8 32-bit and 64-bit.

OK, but

Any attempt to install the drivers VIA, ends with the following window :
