HP Envy 700-210 Desktop needs a upgrade

i dont know much about computers but i was told my desktop computer here can be upgraded. heres what i did so far. i upgraded to windows 10....thats it... thats all i did so far. it still has the same 8 gb ram. and the same 1tb harddrive. i dont have any dedicated graphics card, just the intergated graphics on the motherboard. can any of you please tell me what DEDICATED graphical card can i safely install on my computer? i have 300watts of power and it doesnt go any higher than that.... i was told i cant upgrade my power suppply, that i had to buy a whole new computer... is it true? im a gamer... and i want dedicated graphics not intergrated.

If you have 8GB of RAM that is plenty.  The CPU is more than adequate as well.

Depends on what games you play, but the tower case is not good at shedding heat so what GPU you can add is limited.  Yes, you can upgrade your PSU. 

A standard PSU will fit just fine.
Your choice of a cheap POS or a really good unit.  Either will let you use pretty much any GPU you like just don't exceed 9.5".  One may last 3 yrs, the other a lot longer.
