Help!
Despite virus scanner firewall and pestpatrol and using online scanners I seem to have (according to virus scanner) some left over trojans etc and it will not dump them. Also searchmedia seems to pop up every now and then.

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\WINNT\EliteToolBar\EliteToolBar version 53.dll<-Delete EliteToolBar Folder
You may have to search for these

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.


O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Synchronization Manager 2 ] svhostc.exe

After clicking "Fix Checked":
  • Click Config - in the lower right corner
  • Click Misc Tools - top right
  • Click Delete A File on Reboot
  • Browse to: C:\WINNT\System32\svhostc.exe
  • HijackThis will prompt you to reboot
Post a new log.

Its a program for access control into a building where the computer is based, couldnt of had it running last time (and yes i know it shouldnt of been running as per instructions :thumbsup: )
