Hi. Under bluetooth settings it says that it's deactivated, yet the light beside the blue tooth icon on my laptop is still on. Is there any way to tell for sure if bluetooth is off, as long as the light is on, I would think it's on.

I have windows 8.1

The make would be the manufacturer, like Dell, HP, ASUS, Acer, Lenovo, etc.

As for the model.  Different manufacturers place this information in different locations.  Here are a few examples of specific models.

Dell Inspiron 13 i5559

HP Pro Book 450 G3

ASUS X555UB-NS71

Acer Aspire E E5-574G-75N8

Lenovo N21 Chromebook
