I forgot my password to pdf file. I tried to restore it through online services, but it did not help. Does it make sense to buy some software for password recovery to pdf?

Well, make sure you vet the source, ensure it's a  Trueblue source of a TrueBlue recovery utility.  Often, the trial version will work just enough to convince the user it works, then the pay-for version can do the remainder.  Others here in BC land perhaps can point you to a Trueblue source.  By Treblue I mean a source that is not a malware or scam or useless source.
