My HP Pavilion is 4-5 years old now and generally does a good job, the problem is it overheats in hot weather when sending video to the TV via HDMI cable.

It also breaks up if the video is too large a file size.. eg 3-4gb HD movie even though I upgraded the memory.

I've tried all the tricks, it sits on a little cooling pad, gets cleaned regularly etc.

So I'm thinking of replacing it, it doesn't have to be anything special, just run a bit cooler under a heavy workload.

Something around USD700.
