I recently purchased Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 RAM , and for some reason I decided to take it out of the box and I touched it without anti static protection of any kind . I didn't touch the RAM connectors, but only the machined aluminium heat sinks covering it. Did I damage the RAM with ESD?

Probably not. Aluminium sinks provide some protection against ESD.

Aluminum has a better conductivity (to weight ratio) than copper.  The saving grace here is that the sink is not attached in a fashion that would provide a path to areas where electrostatic discharges would normally have an effect.   Install the module and see if it works.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
