Greeting everyone, first found this site a couple years back when I got hit by a browser hijacker. Caused major stress but by working through the procedures and fixes I found on here managed to clean my computer and rid myself of that terrible virus. Thanks to the authors for the very clear instructions and processes.

I now have a new problem that I will go find the relevant forum to post in.

Thanks to all on here.

Graeme

Hello Deemark,

I've am a relative novice and purely recreational pc user and I can tell you 100% that BC has been a godsend to me. In my first ever year online, I suffered 1 ransomware attack, fell victim to a telephone scam by a guy claiming to be from Microsoft who hijacked my pc whilst I was talking to him on the phone claiming that there were indecent images that had been put on my device by a hacker that only HE could remove, as well as suffering multiple adware and malware-related issues that I'd never have been able to solve without the help received through these boards and awesome programs found within the Downloads forum of this site!

Thanks to this place, I now have the tools and knowledge to solve issues as and when they arise, which is now not very often. I'd like to make a sizable donation to BC one day if and when funds ever allow, such are my feelings of gratitude and respect for the folk that run this place!

Enjoy your time here. It's the only computer forum I'll ever need!

:thumbup2:

Im a rookie and purely recreational pc user. Im utterly obsessed with security (even though I consider myself a safe and law-abiding internet user!) and run a combo of the following freeware security suites.....

Windows Defender/firewall

Regular scans with Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, JRT, HitmanPro
