My sister was going to run the ESET onetime online scanner but accidentally downloaded 30 day trial. Must she uninstall the previous antivirus, MSE, or is "Disable" okay? Should she uninstall the ESET & MSE & then re-download?

Hi Bind_E

Disable is enough. Just untick the item in MSE > Settings that makes it fully operational.

You can leave it there up to the time your ESET trial period has run out.

Hope this is what you wanted.

Ok but FYI when using the ESET Online Scanner.

ESET Online Scanner FAQs #5

If you have other antivirus, antispyware or anti-malware programs running on your computer, they may intercept the scan being performed by the ESET Online Scanner and hinder performance. You may wish to disable the real-time protection components of your other security software before running the ESET Online Scanner. Remember to turn them back on after you are finished.
