Does anyone know if FSX addons compatible with Vista will also work on Windows 8, 8.1 or 10. Looking to buy new computer from wiredtofire but they are not sure, so wondered if there was anyone using fsx who knows the answer to this, please.

Yes, most likely. Even if it doesn't, you can use features like Compatibility Mode, and other programs (DOS Box, VirtualBox, and others) that can be used to run programs that only ran on outdated OSes.

I would also recommend building your own PC (something we can help you with here @ Bleeping Computer), as you can save a lot of money that way.

You might be better asking this question on one of the flight Sim forums - UK Flightsims for example although there are several others. Just google 'Flight Sim Forums' along with a country identifier if you want a local one.
