on my windows 10 machine when I turn on my Microsoft  wireless xbox 360 controller and it pairs with the Microsoft xbox 360 pc controller receiver, it shows up as a headset. it seems to be pairing ok but why it is showing up in my "devices and printers" as a headset it baffles me. I don't even own a Microsoft headset. basically this is what's happening: when I turn on my controller, it pairs with the receiver just fine(which does show up just fine in the Device Manager). after that, it shows up in my "devices"  a headset.

It was working just fine but then my windows 10 updated and since then when ever I turn on my gamepad with the xbox button to pair it up and says headset....

please help me

Since the controller has a headset jack, it is possible that it would also be showing up as a headset. Is the gamepad usable?
