Can photoing of videoing the hot midday sun hurt a samsung T929 8 mp in any way possible?

Almost all camera phones act like point and shoot varieties. Some high end models have software that lets them 'act' like DSLR's. So thats why I say you'll probably do damage pointing it at the sun.

i was doing it with a 1.3 mp cell but i really did not care about messing  up that phone that way.  .     But i do with the 8.    Thank you very much.
