I've generated a timer for the release of Ubuntu 16.04 for those (like me) excited about the release tomorrow. I don't know for sure if I've set it to the correct time (sorry), since I haven't been able to find any official documentation regarding time zones, but my understanding is that it gets released at 00:00 UT so that's what this timer is based off (if I haven't goofed it up). I've also constructed (using urls from previous releases) and posted the download links below for where I expect the ISOs should be (once they are released).

Exciting!

Awesome hollowface! Not sure if I'll download it immediately, but I do have one laptop I know I'll be putting it on. So it will get on there some time by this weekend.

@NickAu

I still haven't seen season 5.

I'll be needing to setup Ubuntu 16.04 and Lubuntu 16.04 VMs. Might do that this weekend, unless I get sidetracked.

I got Lubuntu earlier, currently downloading Ubuntu.

The timer was based off them posting the ISOs at 00:00 UT, but I guess they don't. Does anyone know exactly when they went live? Might be a useful bit of info come October (16.10 release).

It's so...BLUE :clapping: :bowdown: :clapping: :bowdown: :cool:

On topic, I may try it out on a live DVD, but I think I'll wait a bit to install.

Looks sweet.

Whatever it was...I didn't do it!

To get your download faster, and help others get theirs quicker too, use the official Ubuntu Torrents:

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64-bit Torrent
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 32-bit Torrent

Remember: you do not have to do a fresh install to get the latest version. You can upgrade to Ubuntu 16.04 from Ubuntu 15.10 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS using the Update Manager app.

http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2016/04/ubuntu-16-04-download-new-features

It's so...BLUE

I changed wallpaper.
