Hey there folks,

I'm having problems with a laptop that keeps hanging.

It was fine at first and then all of the sudden one day started acting up. Freezing and displaying BSOD

Oh yeah the sound coming from the speakers is also really distorted now as if they've been ripped up or something.

I at first thought the hanging had something to do with stuck keys but even leaving the laptop open and restarting will cause the hanging to reappear.

Almost forgot, there's a constant beeping sound at startup as well which made me think it was a stuck key. The beeping doesn't start if after starting machine I press enter rapidly.

I hope thats a good enough description of the problem, appreciate your help in advance.

Only one recent memory dump in the uploaded reports.

All the rest are from February 2016 or earlier.

Many Windows Update failures in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report.

Although you appear to have a reasonable number of Windows Update hotfixes for this version of your OS, please double check for any new Windows Updates.  It only takes one update to cause a problem, so it's essential that you have all of them.  The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

The lone memory dump has a high likelyhood of being a hardware error.

Please start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Please let us know the results of ALL of the tests, but start with the hard drive tests (as that's the most likely problem).

If the hard drive fails - IMMEDIATELY backup your stuff.

If you don't back it up and the drive fails, it'll be very expensive to recover your data (if it's even possible).
