Hello, my computer has been experiencing sudden frame drops/throttle. I have tried to look into this matter over and over but to no avail, thus posting here.

A brief explanation of my problem:

This problem occurs occasionally when using my computer. I can't really describe much about the problem, but all I can say is that every process and everything on the computer becomes slow. This "throttle" problem, as I would call it, will go away given a few minutes. During these few minutes,  I can see my mouse cursor lag as I move my mouse around. Sounds on the computer also becomes slow. It's as though i'm hearing a terminator.

I do not know the cause of this problem. If anyone can enlighten me, that would be great. I will gladly provide more info if needed.

Please wait until you have another of these episodes.

Please note the approximate time it starts, and the approximate time it ends.
Then immediately run these reports:

1)  Please run this report collecting tool (even though you may not be reporting BSOD's) so we can provide a complete analysis:  http://omgdebugging.com/bsod-inspector/
When done a Notepad document will open with the name of the file and it's location.
By default it'll be a .zip file located on your Desktop
Simply upload the .zip file with your next post and we'll move on from there.
If it doesn't work for you, then please try this:  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/

2)  Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on the "Administrative Events" heading
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

FYI - If we're looking for Event ID 41 errors (unexplained shutdowns), there's more info on that here:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028504

While waiting for a reply, please monitor your temps with this free utility:  http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

You can also open up Resource Monitor and see what's using your resources during these slowdowns.

To do this, open up the Run dialog and type "perfmon /res" (without the quotes) and press Enter to launch it

Ok, the problem just occurred. I guess we shall forever be left in the dark about this problem, I will explain why in my analysis.

Notes

  • Every program ceased to respond during this period of time (till recovery). Thus leaving me unable to carry out the reports or take screenshots.
  • Framerate on the desktop screen is notably slow.
  • The sounds... My god the sounds... A simple sound like "La" becomes "L-l-l-l-a-a-A-a-a-aA-a-Aa-A-a-a-aA"
  • Resource monitor responded for a bit before dying. Showed nothing much in particular besides the expected -not responding- tags next to most processes.
  • Problem lasted for only 1 minute this time.
  • New observation: Laptop becomes very hot during this period of time. Cooled down significantly from then to now. Extreme heat throttle(?)

TL;DR

I need a new laptop. Thanks for your help though. Still, i'd really like to know the exact problem, though I suspect it's caused by overheating. (Have doubts about this as iv'e had no such problems with heat throttle before.)

TL:DR is usually a video error - may/may not be heat related.
Check this topic out:  Please follow these troubleshooting suggestions:  http://www.sysnative.com/forums/bsod-kernel-dump-analysis-debugging-information/35-video-tdr-timeout-0x116-0x117.html#post29532
Also, please monitor your temps with this free utility:  http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Also, as for the reports - run them as soon as you are able after the event occurs - this makes it easier to find the errors, as they'll be near the top of the reports.
