Hi i have a new IBM thinkcentre and new monitor when left alone for awhile the monitor seems to go into a deep sleep and cant get it back on, or maybe its the PC how can i change the sleep mode so it doesnt go into sleep at all

Open the Control Panel and select Power Options.

 

Click on Choose what power buttons do.

 

Under Power and Sleep options you can select Do nothing, Sleep, or Hibernate.  I would suggest do nothing if you don't want one of these options to do anything.

 

Then click on Save changes.


Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

If you turn on the power to the monitor and/or press the input button does the screen come back on? If so, you most likely need a proper driver for the monitor(if available) or on board graphics.
