The WiFi is always active on my netbook and I cannot switch it off with the designated Fn+F11 key. The indicator light on the computer goes on and off OK. This stared to happen when I had Win 7 and now with Win 10. I would like to be able to switch it off when I use an ethernet cable,

Is there a registry item or something which will get this working? Any advice please.

You should be able to right click the Wireless Adapter in Device Manager and select "Disable".

Of course! - I should have thought of that - thanks for waking me up.
