I have a useful little Gadget which plays a sound alarm when my WiFi disconnects and and when it comes back on again. The disconnection sound is rather too strident, like a fire alarm so I want to change it for something less startling --- the Gadget has provision for doing that. I have found the folder with my System Sounds and can preview them with Edge,  but I cannot find a way to install them in the Gadgets sound box. If I copy the file I get the message that it is not a valid file and anyway I cannot paste anything copied. The file can be double clicked and appears in the box, but it does not work?

Any suggestions? I can send a screenshot if it would help. I have been trying variations of 'media/Ring09.wav' which is the format used.
