Good afternoon,
First of all I know that this question has been posted many times already but I cant seem to find the solution, i've tried almost everything I read:
-Restart the "explorer.exe"
-Restart the Search process
-Delete a registry key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FolderTypes\{ef87b4cb-f2ce-4785-8658-4ca6c63e38c6}\TopViews\{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000})
-Reinstall Cortana using the PowerShell (Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.Windows.Cortana | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"})
-Using chkdsk
-Rebuilding the index

The search bar can't still find any applications or files. Any idea?
I'm trying to solve this without formatting the computer :/

Thanks in advance,
Diogo Santos

When you say "search bar" are you referring to the start menu/Windows key, or are you referring to Cortana? Or are you simply referring to the file explorer search bar?

That is Cortana. I do not know how Cortana works but you can find anything on your computer by using the Windows 10 search function that is built into the start screen.

Try Reinstalling Cortana

    Open an elevated Command Prompt (press win + X, and then press A)
    Type start powershell and press enter
    Run the command (in one line):

    Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.Windows.Cortana | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

If that doesnt help, have a look at this thread (Note the "doing a reindex of the search from the "Advanced Options") post about halfway down, that would be worth trying.
