So I recently installed GTA 5 through Steam and started playing it with no audio issues, however for some reason now the sound does not work at all when it loads even though I didn't make any changes to my computer or install anything that may have caused an issue.  I looked up the problem online and many people have the same issue but most of them seem to at least get sound during the loading screen, I don't have any sound in this game at all now.

I also had the same problem with World of Warships, one day the sound just stopped working and I have no idea why.  I tried playing with my playback devices, turning off the 'allow programs to take exclusive control of this device' for all the devices, reinstalling my audio drivers, direct x and now I'm pretty much out of things to try.  Other games in Steam still work fine with no audio issues.  Please help!

Tried checking file cache inside Steam? right click on a game -> files -> verify integrity of file cache.

Just a shot in the dark.

Go to hardware manager too and look for any yellow exclamation mark (if any).
