Hopefully this is the right forum! Just wondering if anyone is familiar with using a laptop as a hotspot. If so I'm wondering what program I should use (if any). I've found a program called mHotspot but not sure if it'll work or if it's safe. Thanks in advance!

I can't give you an opinion on mHotspot because I have never heard of it.  However, assuming you are on Windows, you can have a look at this article... http://www.howtogeek.com/214080/how-to-turn-your-windows-pc-into-a-wi-fi-hotspot/
