FWIW:  Why would you want the SP2...when SP3 was the last SP for XP?

In any case, Microsoft has now pulled all download support for SP2 or 3 from its site.

Downloading anything stated to be be an official MS download...from any other site...would not be advised by me.

This is because the OS on my old laptop is Windows XP Home Edition SP 2 and I need it to do the Recovery thing.

However, I've since found another solution to my issue which I will give a try.

Thanks though.

Regards,
Andrew

Hello YanAndrew

If you read my very detailed post here, you'll see that by plugging the original Microsoft link into the Internet Archive aka Wayback Machine, you'll have access to those archived files.

You can get Service Pack 2 here: https://web.archive.org/web/20050618161252/http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/6/5/165b076b-aaa9-443d-84f0-73cf11fdcdf8/WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe

You can get Service Pack 3 here: https://web.archive.org/web/20140119014510/http://download.microsoft.com/download/d/3/0/d30e32d8-418a-469d-b600-f32ce3edf42d/WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe

Please post back and let us know if this helped you!

Hi,

If you would like the ISO file, Microsoft keeps an archive of the installation disc files.

The only available one is the Windows XP Professional SP3 x86.

The link is below: http://176.99.4.36/Windows%20Xp/en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14-80428.

Hope this helps :)
