May I borrow a bit if info please...?

I use Firefox and suggested add-ons for my mostly main Browser. Pardon the add-ons note,,,I know ya`ll schooled me in another post on the most /best add-ons.

I am not having any issues at present, but always interested in security. Sure not interested in borrowing trouble... :)

Noting that I have and use...Avira, MalwareBytes, SuperAntiSpyware, SpyBot, and SpyWareBlaster now, all free.

Probably overkill, just wondering if anyone has a go-to for an occasional all-round check-up. I understand different apps for finding different infections.

Much Obliged for and and all advice...Jim

The best addon you should have is adblock for chrome and adblock plus for Firefox.

Trust me you shall remove everything else from your browser.

Cheers,
Andy

I generally recommend Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium or Emsisoft Anti-Malware as the backbone to supplementing anti-virus software. Although if you use Emsisoft, it is not necessary to use a separate antivirus solution since EAM combines its technology with Bitdefender Anti-Virus. See my comments at the bottom of Supplementing your Anti-Virus Program with Anti-Malware Tools as to why I recommend these programs.

Neither SuperAntiSpyware or SpyBot are as effective as they use to be so I would replace them with Zemana Antimalware as a stand-alone scanner.

I think he was asking specifically for browsers :)

But thank you this is great advise and I`ll considered for sure.
