Can some one tell me what is the best / Optimum resource loading profile for a troublefree computer operation.

I have a Laptop Pentium M, 1.66 GHz, 400 FSB. 512 MB RAM with Win XP SP2

My normal memory loading % is around 70 - 85%, that is will all the back ground programmes running with out any application loading. The back ground programmes are anti-virus, spyware and malware services, Windows XP SP2 services and other items like startup inspector etc.

My normal CPU loading varies constantly ( 3% - 90 or 99%) depending on appilication and computer use.

For a fast and good operation what should be the memory loading

Can twicking the Swap file settings help in getting a lower memory usage

The best thing to conserve resources is to:
1) Manage your startup items
2) Disable unneeded services.

For the first, I use the free StartupCPL (available here: http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml )

For the second, I use BlackViper's list and a lot of research to figure out what I need and don't need. http://web.archive.org/web/20050401044922/.../servicecfg.htm
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
