Internet only works in safe mode

OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64
3gb ram - AMD V140 2.30 GHZ 

I can not access the internet using ANY browsers unless I am in safe mode. I have tried Malwarebytes,Super Anti Spyware, Adwcleaner, Hitman Pro,ComboFix, SpyHunter 4, Microsoft Security Essentials, AVAST Anti Virus - I have also tried a clean boot (disabling all startup items and disabling all services except for Microsoft services, I even compared the services to my other computer which works fine!) I have uninstalled all browsers (including temp and appdata folders for those browsers), I have made sure my DNS settings are set to automatically obtain dns servers.. I have reset internet settings through control panel, I have made sure there are no extensions in the browsers.. I have run the system file checker (SFC /Scannow), I have tried the windows network diagnostic (it doesn`t detect any problems), I have also used the Complete internet repair tool to reset winsock, tcp ip, I have also tried disabling windows firewall. 

The internet works perfectly fine in safe mode, but when not in safe mode the only thing I can do is ping websites through cmd, and update anti virus/malware definitions. Also if I put in a CD of Hirens Boot CD while in normal windows mode, and I open Opera browser from the Hirens boot CD, the internet works perfectly fine on opera... just not on any browsers installed physically to my hard drive, unless in safe mode... 


Any help is appreciated. I do not want to have to reinstall, but this really isn`t making sense to me at this point.

  • Download Farbar Recover Scan Tool for either 32 bit or 64 bit systems and save it to your Desktop. If FRST.exe is not on your Desktop please move it to that location. <<< Important
  • Double click the icon
  • Click Yes to the disclaimer
  • Make sure the Addition.txt box is checked
  • Click Scan and allow the program to run
  • Click OK on the Scan complete screen, then OK on the Addition.txt pop up screen
  • 2 Notepad documents should now be open on your desktop.
  • Please copy and paste the contents of both in your reply

Farbar's MiniToolBox

  • Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop
  • Please close any Firefox browsers you may have open
  • Double click the icon to launch the program
  • Make sure only the following options are checked:

Flush DNS
Report IE Proxy Settings
Reset IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
Reset FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP configuration
List Winsock Entries

  • Click Go and once the scan is completed a MTB.txt Notepad document will open on your desktop
  • Please copy and paste the contents in your reply

RogueKiller by Tigzy

  • Download RogueKiller and save it to your desktop
  • Close all running programs
  • Right click on the icon and select Run as Administrator
  • For Windows XP simply double click on the icon
  • The program will conduct a prescan and when finished you wlll see Prescan Finished. Please hit the scan button
  • Click Scan
  • If, during the scan, you receive a request to upload a file to Virustotal please click Yes
  • A report should open and a copy of the report will be placed on your desktop. If not, hit the Report button.
  • If RogueKiller has been blocked, do not hesitate to try a few times more. If it really won't run, rename it winlogon.exe (or winlogon.com) and try again
  • Copy and paste the contents of the report in your reply
