I have an interesting problem or at least I think so. ;) I wipe my hard drive on my IBM thinkpad with DBAN, AUTONUKE. It seems to have done a great job. Now when I try to load a Windows Operating system , any Windows operating system , nothing happens , it does not load. Using a floppy disk or CD, Windows will not load into the computer.
I am stuck , what am I doing wrong. I would appreciate any help.

thank you

You probably need to format the hard drive first.

Boot with the Windows CD and format the hard drive - then install Windows.

If that doesn't work, get the installation boot disks from Microsoft:

How to obtain Windows XP Setup boot disks

Make sure you get the ones that match your XP CD - not what you had finally installed on your computer by updating it.

You may need to change the boot order in your bios.
