For my first home server project I was going to try Windows Home Server but found out that WHS is no longer available/supported, so which Windows platform should I use instead?  Again, this is for a simple home server network, so a full-blown 'enterprise' Windows server OS would o.c be over-the-top.

Google NAS [network attached server].  No Windows OS required.
