Every once in a blue moon I do a google search, or ask around to see if anyone knows these songs. I've been trying to identify them for years! In the past I've also tried song ID tools, and contacting radio stations. If you know the song, artist, or album I'd really appreciate that information.

#1
Band Name: Maybe "Sugarcane"? Though not the one that comes up in searches, as far as I can tell.
Release Date: Maybe 2000-2006 ish?
Genre: rock, alternative rock, modern rock.
Track length: approximately 3:19
Notes: Song did air on the radio, that's how I discovered it. Male vocalist. Album artwork may contain a yellow car.
Lyrics (roughly):
secretly
be with devils on me
blacken in my soul
stealin my free will
on a stuck in time
gun in hand
like a sex crazed man
it's getting out of hand
Try try to find some time
Try try to find some time
before this time finds me
before I cease to be
this games too long
seems I'm always wrong
come to realize
it's an aimless fight
so I'll take my time
to live my life
spending all my next
losing all regrets
Try try to find some time
Try try to find some time
before this time finds me
Try try to find some time
Try try to find some time
before this time finds me
before I cease to be
before I cease to be
yeah
all I'm trying to find is some time
before I cease to be
before I cease to be
completely waste away
n' I'll try to find some time
I'll Try try to find some time
before this time finds me
Try try to find some time
I'll try try to find some time
before this time finds me
go [shouted multiple times]
gooooooooooooooooooo!

Release Date: Maybe 2000-2008 ish?
Genre: alternative rock, metal
Track length: approximately 3:26
Notes: Song did air on the radio, that's how I discovered it. Many listeners mistook the band for Evanescense, because of their similar style. Band is possibly from Vancouver, Canada. Female vocalist.
Lyrics (roughly):
come to the place
no-one likes to go
tears stain your face
and everything moves so slow
just like your life
your breath it fades away
where did things go wrong
follow me down
into the darkness we will fade away
go round
until the darkness takes the pain away
don't let the fear
overtake your mind
darkness watches
behind your eyes
how does it feel
to watch me walk away
where did things go wrong
follow me
down
into the darkness we will fade away
go round
until the darkness takes the pain away
we ourselves are floating round
all our life things are found
go ahead and tie your concrete shoes on
come to the place where
no one likes to go
follow me down
into the darkness we will fade away
go round
until the darkness takes the pain away
follow me
down
follow me
down
follow me
down
until the darkness takes pain away

The second one seems likely to be Zoey's Closet? Sounds to be the song, with incomplete listing of lyrics attributed to Brad Taylor and Trish Evans as "Brandish":

Brad Taylor and Trish Evans (Alberta Canada) as Zoey's Closet: "Whether we agree with it or not, we get compared a lot to evanescence."
