Hello i am here trying to fix a macs hdd and so far i am able to get it to boot with a usb with el capitan installed so i can access terminal and disk utility but i do not know how i could fix the hdd so i can move pictures. trying first aid in disk utility doesnt do anythjing fot the 1tb drive.

i was hoping there are some terminal commands that i could use that would make it easier.

i do not want to erase the HDD as of yet since i wanna try and salvage the photos and important documents before3 reinstalling the OS.
