Windows 7 Pro SP1
Several times (4, 5?) at boot up Avast has a notice that says "You are unprotected. Avast background service is not running. Start now"
If I click on [Resolve all], Avast starts up and tells me I am protected, but in short order Windows stop functioning. Small dialogs pop up says something like 'This process has stopped responding' [Wait] [Cancel] (I do not remember the exact message).
I have to do a hard shutdown and when rebooting 'Start Windows normally'.
Help would be appreciated.
