My laptop screen goes off for a second then back on again, the cursor is always centred when screen reappears.

I am running off the mains and the battery wear level is 79%.

Could it be a loose connection or a display problem?

Are you connected to the Internet when this is happening? Could it be caused by high traffic levels [signal delay]?

Does it happen during intense graphics applications? [like an overloaded video card]?

Could it be a heat problem due to intense graphics or CPU activity?

[best guesses without more detailed information on what's happening and when it happens]

I think the LCD cable was loose.

So, does that mean you have solved your problem?

If so, great.

If not, post back and we can keep trying
