Ok

3 computers on the network - Hallway, Family, Kylescomp
Connected to a router via ethernet, router connected to cable modem
All 3 have internet access
Hallway and Family can share files and printer and see eachother
Kylescomp can't connect to either and can't accesss printer or shared files

Can someone help me with this? It's really bugging me not being able to print from my computer!

It used to work fine.

It's just lately that I'm having this problem (last couple weeks).

I would suggest checking all the cables that lead to your computer, check the settings on the computer that is sharing the printer/folders and make sure the permissions are set correctly so that the computer will let you see the printer and the shared folders.

All cables are fine.

I have ran the wizard and turned on the file and printer sharing, if thats what you mean about permissions...

I'm good at following directions, so if someone wants to post mabye directions on how to check/fix something go ahead.

Any other ideas?

:inlove: PROBLEM SOLVED! :bike:

 :woot: :flowers: :spam: :trumpet: B) :P

OMG! YES!

So happy! I was able to solve my problem all by myself!

When I first came to this site, my computer wouldn't connect with my network, like at all. Then with some help from Rawe, I set the configuration manually and could get back on the internet! No file or printer sharing though....

I have Comcast, and on their website they have this cool download called Desktop Doctor, it remembers your internet connection settings, so when your interent is down, you click on that and it restores the settings to when it was working fine! So with the security of knowing I can easily reset everything, I went into LAN Connection proprties and started messing around, nothing was working...

But then I just clicked get IP address manually and IT WORKED!

So now, I can connect to the internet, see shared files, and print from the network printer! YAY!
