Good Day!

I recently reformated my laptop which uses Windows 7 and now I am having trouble accessing some folders and files stored in the external HDD.  I granted full control to myself as the user but still not all folders and files are accessible for some reason.  I don't know why some folders and files are ok to access but not others.  Can anyone here please assist me with this problem?

Ok, I was able to solve the problem by clicking Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object for the folders which were inaccessible.
