I've recently been hijacked by easy-search.biz.

Since I use Mozilla, I can still easily browse the internet but it has disabled Notepad!

So I've had to include my Hijackthis as an attachment!

I am running Windows 2000.

Does Easy-search work like a trojan and send any details I am typing on my pc?

I've read through all your help with other people but I thought I'd send in the log first.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

Download CWShredder: Download here. Don't use it yet.

REBOOT into SafeMode: Starting your computer in Safe mode, use the F8 method

Make sure all browser windows are closed and run cwshredder.exe to start the program and click on the FIX button (not the "Scan only" button) and let it scan your computer.

While in safe mode, open Internet Explorer, then click Tools -->Internet Options -->Connections tab -->highlight your connection -->Settings -->make sure "Use a proxy server..." is NOT checked --> OK.

In programs tab of Internet Options, click "Reset Web Settings">OK.

REBOOT and post a new log please.
Everyday is virus day. Do you know where your recovery CDs are ?
Did you create them yet ?
