First off hello and thanks!

I am having a couple of minor irritation problems since last nights storm (computer got wet - long story). - The computer works great but is acting slightly strange and I think it can be fixed but I am still new to windows 10.

I cannot sign-in to the desktop using the keyboard now. I am forced to use the touchscreen. The computer barely wants give me the touchscreen number pad on top of that. Is there something I can do to correct this? I would much rather use the keyboard again for this.

Also I keep getting what appears to be a volume control on the desktop (see photo). It appears on the desktop then disappears only to appear and disappear again later. How can I stop this - any ideas? I have never seen it on this computer before.

Thanks in advance.

SOLVED: Both problems turn out to be a keyboard issue.
