Hello everybody,

It's been a while since I posted here, but after running some scans on my computer and finding Spybot hanging again on this particular spyware signature, I figured it'd be a good time to look into the issue. As it happens BleepingComputer kept turning up in my search results, and it seems like everyone prior had some kind of adware, or malware, etc, that was causing spybot to hang. While I haven't really noticed anything out of the ordinary, I thought it would a good idea to turn to you guys and ask for help(you've done fantastic in the past).

So, where do I begin? I would really appreciate the assistance, I'll be traveling in a few days and it'd be nice to know this was all sorted out before then.

Note that I'm in the process of scanning with FRST, I just had to step out for a while so the log may come a little later today.

End
Save the file as fixlist.txt in the same folder where the Farbar tool is running from.
The location is listed in the 3rd line of the Farbar log you have submitted.

Run FRST and click Fix only once and wait.

Restart the computer normally to reset the registry.

The tool will create a log (Fixlog.txt) please post it to your reply.
---

If the problem persists with Spybot continue.

Run an online scan with Eset (easiest with Internet Explorer): http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/
To shorten the scanning time disable your antivirus program while scanning.

Select Enable detection of potentially unwanted applications.
Click Advanced Settings.

Select:
Scan Archives
Scan for potentially unsafe applications
Enable Anti-Stealth Technology

Click Start.

When the scan is finished, click on List of found threats and then Export to text file. Copy the content of the text file and paste its content in your reply.

This may take awhile, run it when you know you will not need the computer for an hour or two.

Hello again, Thanks for such a speedy response. I ran FRST again and have the file posted below. I'm running a scan with spybot at the moment to see if it still hangs, hopefully it doesn't. Incidentally I ran ESET and it found one small potentially-unwanted program, but nothing serious. If I still have the text file somewhere I'll upload that too.

Wow!

Everything works. My Spybot installation is finally functional again, just got through a full scan. Thanks a bunch, Nasdaq. I really appreciate your assistance.

You have a great rest of your night.
