Hi

I'm new to the forum and need some urgent help.

Several weeks ago I contracted and - presumably - managed to remove the TRUST CLEANER, with its TRUSTINPOPUPS and TRUSTBAR. This was redirecting all my Google searches to its own site, though I could still manually type in web addresses OK.

I have read in another thread here about problems with Wikipedia being redirected. My problems are similar:-

When I click on any link to Wikipedia or IMDB, I am instead taken to WWW.FINDITANYWAY.COM. I have tried manually entering the web addresses for Wiki and IMDB, but am taken to FINDITANYWAY this way too. I simply cannot gain entry to these sites. Further research tells me about 20-30 percent of my searches are instead directed to FINDITANYWAY.

Or, sometimes they are directed to WWW.LIPORN.COM, an adult site.

Doing a scan with Search & Destroy, I removed about 25 spyware items (including Comet Cursors, various other spyware). There were many TRACKING COOKIES among them.

Search & Destroy now says my system is clear, and I have emptied my cookies folder entirely.

However the problems above still remain.

Could the TRUSTCLEANER still be present (can't find any evidence to this), or have I contracted a new kind of problem? Please help, as this is driving me mad!

Welcome to the forum, if you still need help try this:

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O2 - BHO: ChangerBHO Class - {0D4C7057-EAD2-44C6-AD18-9092905F28F1} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ciadmina.dll
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe
O20 - Winlogon Notify: winncv32 - winncv32.dll (file missing)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post a new HJT log. Let me know how you are running now.

Thanks
