I recently got a new hard drive for my laptop since the previous one failed. On the laptop, there was already a 30gb caching ssd. I just reinstalled the Intel Rapid Storage Technology software and I says this:

7HWPeHD.jpgObviously i want this to work again because it would be a waste not to.

The documentation says to physically remove and reattatch the sdd or to use disassociate (indicated in green) and relink but I am unsure if this is safe to do.

My laptop is a zbook from hp so that's why I'm unsure because hp's machines tend to break when you mess with it's hardware.

Anyone has experience with this? No idea how this caching works.

Thanks in advance
