Mod Edit:  Split from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/564410/svchostexe-plug-play-high-cpu-;-svchost-dcomlaunch-high-memory/ - Hamluis.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this, as I have a number of machines that are doing exactly this. dcomlaunch and plug and play services taking up CPU (not so much a memory problem - and I know there is a KB fix for that which didn't work)

I've disabled windows update, uninstalled software, checked for malware, sfc'ed, reset WMI repositories, unplugged hardware... and I just cannot get the bottom of it.

Checked with the sysinternal tools and I am getting nowhere...

Any ideas?
