The store app used to work no problem but now it is stuck at the loading page?

Please help!

EDIT: When I completely closed kaspersky antivirus trial the windows app store has loaded for a bit; is there anyway to make an exception for the windows apps in general?

When I open my windows mail app, the images don't show up in the email!

EDIT2: I figure out it might be my AdFender that is blocking the connections?

I avoid it as it's full of rubbish. If you really want some useful apps go linux and chose from thousands of apps in different repositories, all open source and free.

Is the date and time correct?

If the date and time is correct, use the instructions below.

Click/tap on Settings.

Click/tap on Change PC Settings.

Click/tap on Accounts.

This is where you will see what may be causing this problem with the Windows Store.

If it’s a mail verification problem, you’ll see You need to verify your account below your email account.

If you have two-step verification enabled on your mail and you get the message You need to update some info for your Microsoft account with a link titled Update info.  Click/tap on that Update info link and it’ll bring you to a screen where you have to enter the code generated from your authenticator app.

@ Tealover #2

You are doubtless correct about the availability of applications on the various flavours of Linux but perhaps you don't realise the implications of your post. You are asking the OP to -

1   Do a full back up of her data

2   Download and burn a Linux ISO

3   Install Linux

4   Configure Linux

5   Find replacements for all her existing applications

6   Replace all her data

And finally start using her computer again !

Hello Chris

The implications aren’t particularly onerous The adoption of linux an will take one on a voyage of discovery. A full data backup is advisable prior to any Linux distribution installation The most popular and best supported distribution is probably Ubuntu with long term support, (LTS) which has the greatest amount of documentation, forums and help. This distribution ISO can be downloaded from the Official Ubuntu website.

Installation is simple,Burn the ISO to a DVD+RW which allows tryout and multiple installations of other distributions on one DVD. To install, just insert the DVD in your optical drive and restart. You will a screen giving options to tryout or install. I recommend the former to try it out as the install will overwrite your Windows System.

To connect to a wireless network see:

https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/net-wireless-connect.html

After installation and connection to work type Terminal in the search box and at the prompt, sudo apt-get update.

This will install all the current updates for the system.

The majority of the software you need.can be found in the Ubuntu Software Centre I.e Chrome, Firefox, LibreOffice. No configuration is really needed.,

Ubuntu will automatically tell you about updates available for your installed programs.

Ubuntu can be configured to suit with a choice of 8 desktops and you can determine the amount of customization for your system.

This URL gives a more comprehensive list of packages which can be installed for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty/

To install these packages a basic knowledge of the terminal command line option apt is needed.

See::

An example of historical statistics updated on: Fri, 01 Jun 2012 23:44.

below gives the large number of free programs available for Ubuntu 12.04

Repositories: 2606    Packages / Programs: 98247

@ tealover

Chris has made a salient point.  You are asking lilbonkers290 to do everything but repair their copy of Windows.  Has it occurred to you that perhaps they posted in the Windows forums because they want Windows as their operating system and would like to get it operating properly again?

@ lilbonkers #1

To get this back ontrack, are you still having problems with the Windows App Store ?  Have you tried it again since the time of your original post ?  Sometimes these web-sites - and the App Store is a web-site - go down for no obvious reason and then come back up again. Otherwise follow DC3's suggestions and post back with what happens. If you are still having problems it wouldbe useful to know what browser you normally use.
