Hello!

I've ran into some trouble with my laptop. Every 30 min or so, I get a BSOD with the error Page Fault in Nonpaged Area. This began happening on friday, I had no problems in the weekend, but now it started again. So far it has just happened when I've been at my university and not at home if thats any help. Any help with this issue would be very appreciated!

  • OS: Windows 10
  • x64
  • Originally Windows 7
  • I think the OS came pre-installed
  • Age of system is between 2.5 to 3 years
  • I reinstalled windows 7 last November, and upgraded to windows 10 this January

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3840QM CPU @ 2.80Hz
  • Video Card: Intel HD Graphics 4000

  • DELL
  • PRECISION M4700
  • Laptop

Thank you!

Hi. . .

The 6 dumps were unanimous - your Dell wifi driver is to blame.

Update your Broadcom wifi driver - https://www.sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=bcmwl63a.sys

It's actually listed as a "Dell Wireless 1540 802.11a/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz)" adapter in your system -- but Broadcom wrote the driver.

Check Dell Support as well  - http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Products/?app=drivers

If you can't find a driver update, you'll have to purchase a new USB or PCIe wifi adaptor.

Regards. . .

Apologies... I should have listed your current wifi driver and date -

bcmwl63a.sys Sat Sep 19 03:42:15 2015 (55FD11D7)

So, you'll need to find a driver updated after 19 September 2015, which may not be easy to do.
