Windows 10 upgrade taking days

I downloaded a free upgrade to Windows 10 from microsoft two days ago, and its still installing it, i can't see a progress bar as all i have is a blank screen. Has something gone wrong ?

 It doesn't sound normal.  Usually it completes in a couple of hours, but a lot depends on your system, how old it is and how much RAM you have.  If you have a disk activity light, you could watch a few minutes to see if anything's going on with the hard drive.  If nothing's happening after 5 or 10 minutes, it may be stuck somewhere.  Did you check to see if your hardware was compatible with Windows 10 before starting the update?

I think i sorted the problem after trawling the internet.i pressed ctrl +windows+ B, it magically came on and seems fine,thanks for your reply
