Hello good people, i have a problem with my heat regulator fan, (the rotating fan responsible for getting rid of heat buildup in the laptop). Of late it has has been revolving continuously like a jet engine about to take off,  what could be the problem? how can i solve it? will servicing my DELL INSPIRON N510 laptop solve it.

What are your temperatures?  Download SpeedFan and look at the core temperatures.  If they're too high, you probably need to use a can of compressed gas to blow through the air intake ducts on the bottom of the laptop.  If it's over 4 years old, you might need to remove the CPU fan and re-apply the thermal paste.

 Good luck.

Make regular full system backups or you'll be sorry sooner or later.
