Every so often, instances of iexplorer.exe will run randomly, sometimes opening up to a random page. Also (I don't know if this is related), sometimes while on google chrome (my default browser) I will be redirected to a random page and Norton will notify me stating that it has blocked a fake web attack scan. Can someone help me get rid of this problem? Thanks

Download MalwareBytes, get it up to date, and do a scan.  If that doesn't fix it, open an administrative command prompt and issue this command: sfc /scannow.  If the problem persists after that, post in the Am I Infected forum.

 Good luck.

Make regular full system backups or you'll be sorry sooner or later.
