I was playing Age of Empires 2(yes old, but good) when my computer suddenly re booted when i was in the middle of the game. I didnt think much of it until i tried to play again, my computer wont read the disc or any other game or cd i have. It sounds like it tries to read the disc and then there are just 2 or so click, then nothing. Can somebody please tell me what the problem is and if i can fix it?

Can you give us more info?

What color?

CD read only? Or do you want to burn?

Do you want it to read DVD's too?

How about burning DVDs, do you want that too?

I suggest going to device amnager and seeing if the drive shows in there and if it shows that it is good or not.

If it shows that it is not good then delete or remove the drive and then reboot to see if the Windows will re-install the drive. If it does not then replace the drive. You can order a new drive thru www.newegg.com fairly cheap.

I use http://www.pricegrabber.com/ and never, ever buy from anyone without at least a hint of color in the 5th star of the 5 star rating system. I've never had any problems this way.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
