I allowed my computer to do this last night but now when I log onto my desktop all I get is a black screen with cursor. I use Windows Vista basic. The pc is very old and very full!. I considered a system reset but cannot access anything. I am very computer illiterate so apologies in advance.

Thank you Chris for removing my duplicate post. I did say I wasn't great with modern technology, navigating the site via my phone, perfect example. Someone has suggested F5 during start up, so I will try this.
