Computer hellllllllp flashplayerupdate.exe virus and BSOD
Windows 10 (from Win7 upgrade) and Google Chrome. Tried to watch TV show and had
flashplayerupdate required. 1st time I've seen it. Did my research on
BleepingComputer.com and also some other site I found on google search and they
both had the same solution
2. junkware removal tool
Did all this but still had flash player update required virus.
Repeated this several times. Finally ran AdwCleaner 1 more time, didn't find
anything, but it told me to restart.
Now all I get is the starting welcome screen but it doesn't go anywhere from
there. Click on my name and I get
the BSOD with these 2 comments:
1. The local session manager failed sign in
2. RPC server is unavailable
I looked up all the ways to boot into safe mode but none of it works. I can't
get to any menu option that
would lead me to safe mode. I don't have a recovery disc.
the literature says I picked up a virus that hitchiked on something else. The
BSOD didn't start until I ran the 5 cleaners about 3 times. I can not get to the
desktop and therefore a taskbar. Can't run any antivirus, like Roguekiller, or
cleaner programs because that option does not appear on a BSOD.
I downloaded the bootable USB version.
Create Media for a different PC (took an hour).
Now I get through Install Windows, No repair windows, Reset This PC, but "the
drive where windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again."
I did not lock the drive (Samsung SSD), it shows up on Bios UEFI, I am able to
make it the boot drive but of course it is not working so I made Flash USB3 the
Startup Repair can not repair the PC.
I dicked around and got to restore a system but system image restore failed due
to system image was created on a computer (my laptop) using BIOS and the desktop
computer uses EFI. or maybe it is the other way around.
So I went into Setup from the flash drive and it won't install Windows on my
primary SSD. It will install on my backup HD but everything backed up will be in
folder OLD and I don't want the OS on my backup drive anyway.
Tried using the original Win 7 CD but it won't install even after loading setup
due to SSD being a different format.
All I can think of to do is get a new Win10 disc from Newegg, format the SSD so
it will work, and hope my backup drive kept everything.
Unless you can help me.
Thanx for the thank you. You provide a vital service.
