Hi peeps,

I've just created an acobleep in order to reply to a post and help someone with the same problem I just found a solution for.

It's rather dissappointing I cannot help that person now, I don't have the privilege to post there.

I've used bleeping computer a lot in the past and wanted to do something in return.

Give me a shout when policy changes and I can help this community.

Kr, Terry

Were you trying to reply to a topic in Malware Removal Logs?

If that is the case:

That forum is highly restricted-replies can only be made by the person who started the topic, members of the Malware Removal Team, designated Study Hall Seniors and Juniors and BC staff moderators and above.

We have special rules in place with regards to malware removal to ensure that members only receive help in this complex and critical area of support from those we know are well informed and have been highly trained in the use of tools used in MRL and for security.

At the top of the Malware Removal Logs Forum is this

Only members of the Malware Response Team or Moderators are allowed to help people with logs.

In addition, there is also this on the main forum index page, under Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs:

For security purposes, only authorized personnel may respond to requests for assistance.

Before the system was changed there were good intentioned members who wanted to help and did post to log topics even though they should not have. Anytime this happened, the replies were removed from the topic.

The policy also prevents "Me to, I have the same problem" posts in MRL topics.

That has always been the policy regarding Malware Removal Logs forum and that will not change.

We appreciate your desire to help and hope you understand the policy is in place for the protection of those seeking help with malware removal.

Hi both,

thanks for the messages.

I have been able to reply and help the person out.

It must have been a temporary login issue of some kind.
