I recently backed up my PC running vista to an external hard drive and then installed a clean copy of Windows 7. I used Windows Easy Transfer to transfer from the external drive to the PC but am having problems accessing the files. I'm not sure, be appreciated.now, whether I have done something stupid during the transfer or whether the programme is malfunctioning for some reason.
I have an icon on my new Windows 7 desktop which says 'Windows Easy Transfer - Items from Old Computer'. It shows a size of 1.8GB although the used space on my drive is something like 240GB. When I double click the icon I get a window which says "choose what to transfer to this computer". I have been ignoring this because I'm thinking the transfer has already taken place but am I incorrect? Should I click 'transfer' at this point?
I would appreciate any help or guidance.
