Emsisoft AM Pro a2guard/a2service not working -- cannot get EAM's real time protection shields running.  Other two laptops' EAMpro works just fine; only this desktop is having EAMpro troubles.

Does anyone know if possibly latest version of Avast AV pro/premium is meddling with EAMpro?

I really welcome anyone, everyone, who has had or is having related, similar problem with EAM to chime in with their experiences.

I have not had heard of any issues with avast. Have you tried uninstalling, then reinistalling EAM?

In the rare case of an incomplete uninstall, you can use the Emsisoft Uninstall Tool (emsiclean.exe) to remove any remaining traces of the program as long as the installation was performed using the default path of Program Files or Program Files (x86). Be sure to run the tool with Administrative rights.

I would suggest asking at the best place for Emsisoft products - Emsisoft Support Forum.
